CO Sensor Response Time for LPT-TCO

Written by:

Critical Environment Technologies Canada Inc. (CETCI) has received a few questions about the response time for the CO sensor utilized in the LPT-TCO. The following information should address the questions asked.

The electrochemical CO sensor utilized in the model LPT-TCO and a few other products we manufacture has a T90 response time of less than 60-seconds. Because the LPT-TCO was developed for use primarily in car park applications, response time is a less critical factor so CETCI made the decision to “buffer” the sensor output for a more stable reading. This firmware buffering makes the LPT-TCO response time slower. Some areas we sell this product into have indicated they would prefer a faster transmitter response time, so all shipments of LPT-TCO leaving our warehouse after August 1, 2013 have had this factor modified so the transmitter provides a T90 response time of less than 60-seconds.

If there are any questions or concerns, please contact CETCI by email (fbritton@cetci.com) or phone (+1-604-940-8741).
